Herrinbone Bangle

Because so many people liked my last work, the Myrna Necklace, I decided to make a tutorial showing you how to do the tubular herringbone stitch. The project is very simple. It's a bangle totally made in herringbone with increases and decreases to create a ripple effect. I think it's a good project for beginners!

Bangles don't have clasps. So we need create them longer than an usual bracelet. This post from Beading Daily shows how to measure correctly you hand to create a bangle.

The materials you're gonna need to create the bangle:
- 8g seed beads 11/0;
- 2g seed beads 15/0;
- 9 pearls 6mm;

The materials I used to the green bangle:
- Dyna-mite round seed beads, size 11/0, square hole, color: olive green silver lined;
- Toho round seed beads, size 15/0, color: crystal/gold lined (tr-15-262c);
- Darice pearls 6mm, color: white;
- C-Lon thread, size D, color: ash;

    1. I don't recommend sewing thread because it's very weak! The seed beads can have sharp edges and with time, they'll cut the thread. At beginning, when I was learning beadwork, I tried to use stronger sewing thread but the thread broke after while. Look for specific threads for beadwork, such as Nymo, C-lon, Sono, K.O., One G, Fireline, Wildfire... :)
